Tilapia is a uniquely nutritious fish that finds itself rich in essential omega-3 fatty acids. Instead of popping a fish oil supplement, enjoy this delicious BBQ fish with a zesty mango salsa. This fish shouldn't spend more than 10 minutes in the pan to be cooked to perfection.
Directions:
In a medium-size bowl, combine mint, cilantro, mango, red bell pepper, spring onion, ginger, white vinegar, and pepper; toss lightly. Chill for one hour in the refrigerator.
Preheat barbecue to medium-high heat. Rinse fillets, and pat dry. Place fillets on grill and cook for 3–5 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the fillets. Top each fillet with mango salsa. Serve with a side of steamed asparagus (1 cup).

A cup of coffee (or 4) every day could help extend your life
http://ift.tt/2i1CHFk Coffee is already a wondrous elixir capable of inspiring modern humans to move forward each day, whether that menas tapping keyboards, digging ditches, and hauling ourselves to the gym. So it's no surprise, then, that coffee has become become a researcher’s dream. Study after study has shown that coffee is full of antioxidants, minerals, and other compounds that can benefit our health while keeping us alert and on top of our work. [RELATED1] Now, the scientific community has produced another round of research-backed applause for your favorite morning beverage. Drinking three to four cups of coffee every day has been linked to a decreased risk of an early death and lower risk of a few cancers, liver disease, diabetes, and dementia, according to a new meta-analysis of 201 studies published in The BMJ. Though the studies they perused were observational studies—the evidence isn’t considered very strong by scientific standards—the researchers still found that coffee drinkers who downed three cups a day had consistently lower risk of early death from all causes and heart disease compared to those who didn’t coffee. The rates of cancers like prostate, endometrial, skin, and liver was also lower for the coffee lovers, as well as type-2 diabetes and liver diseases like cirrhosis. People who consumed coffee every day also had lower incidences of Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and dementia. The only downside they found in the reams of studies was that regular consumption had a small increase in broken bones in women and that it may lead to problems for pregnant women like low birth weight and premature birth. The authors stated that: "Coffee drinking appears safe within usual patterns of consumption" and that randomized trials should be performed “to understand whether the key observed associations are causal.” [RELATED2] Fitness via Men's Fitness http://ift.tt/2u0SmvI November 29, 2017 at 05:46PM
7 reasons you should add HIIT to your workout
http://ift.tt/2AePwXs Total-body workouts built around high-intensity interval training—which includes both resistance and cardio—are highly effective for building muscle, burning fat, and improving your cardiovascular endurance. That's not "bro science" either—it's backed up by extensive physiological research. So why don't more people do it? Short answer: It's really demanding. [RELATED1] In a HIIT workout, you'll perform all-out, exhausting physical effort for a short time, followed by a short, sometimes active, recovery. If you're new to HIIT, your routine should involve working out hard for 60 seconds, and then breaks for 1-2 minutes, depending upon the exercise involved. As you get accustomed to HIIT, you can lower the work-to-rest ratio from 3:1 to 2:1 and eventually even 1:1. During the high-intensity interval, your goal should be to get your heart pumping at 85% of its maximum rate. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being completely out of breath, your breathing should be at 8-9. [RELATED2] So yeah: It's tough. But there are plenty of benefits to HIIT, including increased metabolic rate, optimal muscle building and retention, fat loss, and increased calorie burn during and after the workout. But there’s a lot more to HIIT that can benefit you as a physique-minded athlete. Scroll through the list to get the details on this essential workout method. Afraid you'll get dumped? You may be putting a damper on your love life.
http://ift.tt/2ilzXGI Relationships are complicated, and—although it's not the most pleasant thought—it's inevitable that obstacles will come up throughout the course of even the most blissful of them. And while many people expect a little turbulence but don't give it much thought, some seem to worry constantly about a breakup (looking at you, guy who's got a multi-phase backup plan in case your girlfriend decides to give you the boot). If you're the guy constantly doubting the stability of your relationship and sizing up the risk of it coming to an end, you may actually be snubbing the flames between you and your partner, according to a new study from Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Italy. The study's findings support the idea that feeling like there's a risk of breaking up can actually become an obstacle in the relationship, and, eventually, cause a breakup. [RELATED1] Researchers had people give them the basics on the states and dynamics of their relationships. They then manipulated the particiants' perceptions on their relationships. It may sound like they tapped people's minds á la Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, but it was much simpler than that: Researchers basically just told them things that made them question just how solid their relationships really were. One way they went about this was giving people statistics about the failure of relationships. Another was giving participants "false feedback" about the odds of their romances ending—which sort of sounds like that one friend who loves nothing more than to insist that every relationship you have is doomed. [RELATED2] Once those people were primed with unsettling ideas about their love lives, researchers asked how committed they were to their relationships, and how they felt about their partners. Compared to people who hadn't been presented with the possibility that their relationship won't last forever, they showed weaker commitment and less intense romantic feelings. The findings suggest that if your head is swirling with fears of potential betrayal or preoccupied with the notion that many relationships don't go the distance, you may be inadvertently hurting your relationship by causing yourself to be less committed, according to study author Giuseppe Pantaleo. “Reduced relationship commitment, for instance, leads to dissolution considerations and, thereby, to actual relationship breakup," Pantaleo says, according to Springer. "Relationship breakup, in turn, plays a critical role in the onset of depression, psychological distress, and reduced life satisfaction." So next time one of your friends tries to fill your head with thoughts that you and your partner aren't meant to be, just try to not get paranoid and dismantle your relationship. Watch: First official trailer for 'Accident Man' starring Scott Adkins
http://ift.tt/2j3qFwp If you like your comic book movies a little on the vulgar and violent side—think Deadpool and Logan—then you're going to love the bloody mess left behind in one of Scott Adkins' latest action films: the hard-R superhero flick Accident Man. [RELATED1] Featuring an array of shady characters who specialize in unique and unpleasant methods of killing, this U.K. comic book adaptation from the creator of Judge Dredd is definitely not geared toward the younger comic book crowd. [RELATED2] The first few seconds of the Accident Man trailer (below) should drive the point home. The film, based off an early-'90s comic series called Toxic!, stars Adkins as Mike Fallon, a vulgar, cocky assassin who has a knack for making his victims’ deaths look like accidents. Despite the bevy of severed heads, chopped-off limbs, and bone-crushing mishaps, the film also finds a way to mix some humor into all the carnage. It's the perfect combo of brutal killing and laughter that only hardcore action fans can appreciate. [RELATED3] Here's the official synopsis for the graphic, action flick: "A deadly hitman becomes an accidental hero in the pulse-pounding action-thriller Accident Man. Based on the underground British comic Toxic! by Pat Mills (creator of the Judge Dredd comic) and Tony Skinner, this darkly humorous and stylishly violent adaptation stars Scott Adkins (Doctor Strange, The Expendables 2) as Accident Man, a stone-cold killer who must face off against a rogue’s gallery of ruthless assassins in order to uncover the truth about his ex-girlfriend’s murder. Co-starring Ashley Greene (Twilight series), Oscar nominee David Paymer (Best Supporting Actor, Mr. Saturday Night, 1992), and action fan favorites Ray Park (Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace), Ray Stevenson (Thor series), and Michael Jai White (The Dark Knight), Accident Man hits its target with a lethally entertaining combination of explosive fight scenes and hilarious moments." Accident Man will be released by Sony Pictures straight to DVD and Digital on Feb. 6, 2018. Fitness via Men's Fitness http://ift.tt/2u0SmvI November 29, 2017 at 03:32PM
4 plastic surgeries guys are getting to look more manly
http://ift.tt/2ikm3VA You know the body you're born with is not the body you're stuck with—as long as you're willing to put in the time and effort. But your face? Well, you're kind of stuck with that. As a guy, you might think your face-fixing options are limited compared to ladies’ options: It’s far more common for American women to utilize makeup, skincare, Botox, plastic surgery, and at least 100 beauty treatments of which you've never heard. Meanwhile, you've got the ability to grow facial hair. Maybe. [RELATED1] But here’s the thing: Men actually have all the same options that women do (there's even makeup for guys)—you just don't use them. And while you may not be exploring your options, lots of other men are. In 2015, more than 1.2 million cosmetic procedures were performed on male patients—an increase of more than 325% since 1997, according to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Women still dominate the customer base, but men make up almost 10% of patients for both nonsurgical procedures (like dermal fillers, shown above) and surgical procedures. Of course, plastic surgery is very different for men than it is for women, especially around the face. So we sat down with Douglas Steinbrech, M.D., a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in male plastic surgery, to discuss what guys are looking for when they go under the knife. You're not going to believe how this intense BASE-jumping sequence ends
http://ift.tt/2ilvdkH When it comes to margins of error, it doesn't get much slimmer than what these two French wingsuit flyers pulled off. [RELATED1] From the peak of Jungfrau, one of Europe's highest mountains, Fred Fugen and Vince Reffet BASE jumped into a moving plane. [RELATED2] The jump—which occurred among more than 100 others as a part of the pair's Door in the Sky project in Empuriabrava, Spain—was unlike any BASE jump we've ever come across. The sequence looks like a cheat code-aided Grand Theft Auto stunt. Watch as the duo seamlessly slips into a moving plane in the middle of a wingsuit flight. The acronym BASE stands for building, antenna, span, and earth—the four points from which the extreme sport can begin.
