Here's a look at the insane visual effects behind that ‘Game of Thrones’ dragon battle

With the final season of Game of Thrones at least a year away, fans will need to find some other way to satisfy their appetite for badass battles, royal intrigue, and, of course, dragons fighting undead armies.

And even though we're just a few weeks removed from the season finale, those fans are in luck.

Iloura, the visual effects design studio that helps power the HBO hit, released a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the insane dragon battle in Season 7's fourth episode, “The Spoils of War”—and it’s incredible.

HBO previously released a video about filming the actual battle—and the record amount of stuntmen they set on fire—but this new video shows how it all came together.
